I feel strongly about the importance of marriage, parenting, and families. While I am not a perfect husband or father, I've been married for almost 23 years and have three wonderful sons who are currently 20, 18 and 10. In this blog, I hope to share some of the things I have learned about being a son, a husband, and a father. I also hope to hear others' thought and ideas. I believe that we can all do better and learn from each other.
One of my current concerns is protecting the traditional family. I recognize that people can make choices about how they want to live their lives. However, their choices DO affect others, and most directly their families. Good choices strengthen family relationships and build confidence and trust. But poor choices can bring severe consequences to those we love the most, even some who are completely innocent.
Through this blog, I will share my opinions, my experiences, and my warnings to all who will listen. Likewise, I encourage you to share any opinions and experiences that would benefit others. Disagreement is welcomed, as long as it is thoughtful and respectful and intended to educate and persuade.
